The Boston Red Sox had their Spring Breakout game on March 13, and the Big Three of Roman Anthony, Kristian Campbell, and Marcelo Mayer delivered at the plate with a homer apiece.

However, that wasn't the end of the fun. On March 14, the Red Sox played a "Futures at Fenway" game, which featured Sox prospects squaring off with prospects from the Minnesota Twins organization.

The game was a perfect showcase for a number of prospects. David Sandlin started the game for Boston and struck out a ridiculous seven batters in 2 2/3 innings. The right-handed pitcher is considered one of the top pitchers in the system and should see starts in Triple-A at the very least this year.

Juan Valera also got to pitch in the game, and he hit 100 MPH on the radar. That's absurd, considering he's an 18-year-old with 23 innings in Single-A under his belt. Valera is poised for a massive breakout season.

More prospects shine for Red Sox in Futures at Fenway game

Jojo Ingrassia struck out three batters in 2 1/3 scoreless innings. He was the only pitcher to not allow a run in the game. The left-handed pitcher had an impressive season in Single-A Salem last year and should start the year in High-A.

On the hitting side, Mikey Romero crushed a two-run home run. The left-handed hitting shortstop had a big performance in the Spring Breakout game, and he continued it the following day. Romero was healthy in 2024, and we saw his power trend up. Could that pop be legit? It's starting to seem like it.

Jhostynxon Garcia smoked a two-run triple. The right-handed hitting outfielder was one of the true breakout stars of 2024 and has captured the hearts of fans thanks to his power potential and fantastic nickname (The Password).

Miguel Bleis doubled, and Yoeilin Cespedes hit two doubles himself. Cespedes was promoted to Single-A Salem last year but didn't get to appear in a game due to an injury. The right-handed hitting shortstop is healthy and expected to mash in 2025.

Finally, Justin Gonzales was one of the biggest stars of the day. The right-handed hitting first baseman/outfielder picked up a pair of hits, including a towering home run over the JetBlue Green Monster. Gonzales is an 18-year-old who has only appeared in the DSL so far. However, he's already listed at 6'4" and could grow more. He is a prime candidate for a massive 2025 season.

The Red Sox got to showcase their farm system talent over the last two days, and it's safe to say they didn't disappoint. Even beyond the Big Three, Boston's farm system is packed with promising talent on both sides of the ball.
