We're less than a week away from the trade deadline, and the Boston Red Sox are in a perfect position to buy. Some of the prospects listed in this update could be on the move before the July 31 deadline.
The farm system had a big week, helping to boost the status of quite a few prospects who could be viewed as trade pieces. Plenty of prospects who are likely here for the long haul enjoyed productive weeks as well.
Red Sox Prospect Update: David Sandlin, Manuel Medina, Jose Bello
Worcester Red Sox (Triple-A)
Blaze Jordan hit a homer on July 27. The right-handed hitting first/third baseman is slashing .304/.372/.495 with 22 doubles, one triple, and 12 home runs between Double-A and Triple-A. He's driven in 61 runs, scored 59 more, and stolen three bases.
Jordan continues to hit and could find himself in the majors before the end of the year (either in Boston or somewhere else).
Jhostynxon Garcia is on a five-game hitting streak that included a double and two home runs. The right-handed hitting outfielder is slashing .291/.364/.524 with seven doubles, two triples, and 11 home runs since being promoted to Triple-A. He's driven in 31 runs and scored 35 more at the level.

Hayden Mullins gave up one run on three hits over four innings as he continues to dominate without much fanfare. The left-handed pitcher struck out seven batters compared to two walks.
Mullins has a 2.07 ERA, .157 BAA, and 0.98 WHIP in 14 outings (13 starts) between High-A and Double-A this season. He has 77 strikeouts compared to 27 walks in 61 innings.
Ronald Rosario has been absurd in the month of July. He had a two-homer game on July 26 and is now slashing .378/.440/.622 in July.
The right-handed hitting catcher is up to a .216/.289/.320 slash line with seven doubles and six home runs. He's driven in 37 runs, scored 21 more, and stolen four bases. Rosario hit a home run in his only at-bat on July 27. However, the game was cancelled in the second inning and won't be resumed, so it seems like Rosario lost that homer to the weather.
Greenville Drive (High-A)

Jose Bello made his Single-A debut on July 27. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits over 3 2/3 scoreless innings out of the bullpen. He struck out one batter and walked two.
