Red Sox World Series champ Kevin Millar somehow predicted Miguel Rojas Game 7 heroics

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas became one of the most improbable heroes in World Series history when he hit a ninth-inning home run in Game 7 to save the Dodgers' season (though LA had multiple saviors on the night).

Rojas hadn't recorded a hit since October 1 before he smacked the iconic solo shot into the left field seats at Rogers Centre. Fans could feel the shock of the world captured by the voice of FOX Sports's play-by-play maestro Joe Davis, who let out out a flabbergasted "NO WAY!" as Rojas rounded the bases.

Davis announces Dodgers games during the regular season, giving him an intimate awareness of the sheer unlikelihood of Rojas's Game 7 blast. Rojas, a career .260 hitter (.675 OPS) isn't known for his slugging ability. He's only tallied more than 10 homers in a season once, and he hit just seven in 114 games in 2025.

Rojas wasn't really playing at all for the Dodgers before Game 6 and 7. After he went hitless in the NLCS, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts kept Rojas out of the World Series lineup almost entirely through five games, with the exception of Rojas pinch-hitting for Kiké Hernández late in the 18-inning Game 3 marathon (Rojas went 0-for-2).

Then, in a move of managerial magic, Roberts inserted Rojas into the Game 6 lineup with LA staring at elimination. Though Rojas went 0-for-3 at the plate in Game 6, he came up absolutely huge for the Dodgers defensively at second base, pulling off a slick barehanded play in the seventh inning and then executing a miraculous scoop on the game-ending double play.

Amazingly, Rojas's true World Series moment still hadn't arrived, and there's only one analyst in the world who knew it.

Former Red Sox champion Kevin Millar literally predicted that Miguel Rojas would hit a home run in Game 7

MLB Network's Kevin Millar — no stranger to winning a title — made the most stunning prediction in the hours leading up to Game 7 of the 2025 World Series. Millar, in essence, called Rojas's shot.

When asked during the pre-game program which hitter would go deep in Game 7, Millar chose Rojas.

"Miggy Rojas," Millar emphatically answered. "Miggy Rojas played impeccable defense (in Game 6) ... there's another side to this game that ... (wins) games. He won that game last night ... he's loved by his teammates, he's loved by this game. It's his last year, because he's gonna go ahead and be a father ... this dude's gonna have a moment tonight."

How can you not get chills listening to Millar predict Rojas's career-defining swing hours before it happened? But there's still one more crazy twist to this story.

Following Game 7, Roberts revealed in an interview with FOX Sports that Rojas's wife also predicted prior to Game 7 that Rojas would hit a home run.

"His wife told him he was gonna hit a home run in the World Series," Roberts said. "And he wasn't even playing, and she kept telling him, 'Miguel, you're gonna hit a home run,' and he's like, 'Babe, I'm not even playing.' Yesterday he played, didn't homer. Today, she told him, 'Miguel, you're gonna hit a home run today.' And sure enough."

Before the Dodgers popped their champagne bottles on Saturday night and exploded with merriment, Roberts brought up Rojas as he addressed the team. "(When you honor the game) ... the game honors you," Roberts said. "And today, the game honored Miggy."
