The Boston Red Sox continue to struggle. We're getting to that crossroads in the season where fans feel they should start tuning out if things don't correct themselves soon.

How much longer can they go without promoting Roman Anthony? Who else in Triple-A could contribute to the Major League roster? Will they be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline? So many questions need to be asked.

Luckily, we get to focus on the minor leagues in the Prospect Watch. And, what a surprise, it was another week of fun storylines throughout the system.

Red Sox Prospect Update: Miguel Bleis, Yoeilin Cespedes, Brian Van Belle

Worcester Red Sox (Triple-A)

Blaze Jordan had a hell of a first week in Triple-A. The right-handed hitting first/third baseman collected at least one hit in all six games.

Jordan is slashing .375/.400/.750 with six doubles and a home run with Worcester. He's driven in five runs and scored six more. Jordan becoming the everyday major league first baseman by the end of the season is definitely a possibility.

Jhostynxon Garcia went 6-for-22 with two doubles and a triple this week. The right-handed hitting outfielder is slashing .353/.380/.618 with four doubles, one triple, and four home runs since being promoted to Triple-A. He's driven in 10 runs and scored 11 more in 16 games.

Garcia is now a top 100 prospect, according to Baseball America. He's a phenomenal defender with terrifying power. It will be interesting to see what they do with him at the trade deadline. If they are buyers, Garcia could net them a fantastic return. If they are sellers, Garcia could be part of the immediate future.

Roman Anthony only had two hits this week, but one of those was that grand slam. The left-handed hitting outfielder literally broke the baseball world with that titanic blast.

Anthony is slashing .288/.423/.491 with nine doubles, two triples, and 10 home runs. He's driven in 29 runs, scored 45 more, and stolen three bases. He finally got his well-deserved call to the major leagues on June 9.

Brian Van Belle allowed one run on five hits over seven innings in his June 4 start. He struck out five batters and walked one. BVB has gone seven innings in each of his last three starts.

The right-handed pitcher has a 2.29 ERA, .240 BAA, and 1.06 WHIP in 12 appearances (eight starts). He's struck out 41 batters compared to seven walks in 51 innings. Van Belle was also called up to the major leagues alongside Anthony on June 9.

Tyler Uberstine allowed two runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out seven batters compared to one walk.

Uberstine has a 3.55 ERA, .242 BAA, and 1.13 WHIP between Double-A and Triple-A. The right-handed pitcher has 57 strikeouts compared to 11 walks in 50 2/3 innings.

Isaac Coffey made his Triple-A debut on June 5. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one run on four hits over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out one batter and walked one. Coffey recently returned from an illness and has started his season strong.

Bryan Mata is having a great June so far. The right-handed pitcher tossed two dominant innings to pick up his second save of the season on Sunday. He's allowed one run on one hit in five innings over three appearances in June.

Mata has a 5.46 ERA, .279 BAA, and 1.82 WHIP in 17 appearances. He's struck out 49 batters compared to 21 walks in 31 1/3 innings. The numbers haven't been great, but he's showing life and hitting high velocity (topped out at 99.1 MPH on Sunday).

Portland Sea Dogs (Double-A)

Reidis Sena had a fantastic week and has been great all year. The right-handed reliever gave up two hits over five scoreless innings in two appearances. He struck out four batters without walking any.

Sena has a 2.38 ERA, .147 BAA, and 1.19 WHIP in 14 appearances. He has 29 strikeouts compared to 16 walks in 22 2/3 innings. Sena has now pitched 34 innings over 21 appearances in Double-A. We could see him in Triple-A relatively soon.

David Sandlin posted another strong outing this week. The right-handed pitcher allowed three runs on five hits in six innings. He struck out six batters while walking two.

Sandlin has a 3.86 ERA, .235 BAA, and 1.18 WHIP over 10 appearances (nine starts). He has 51 strikeouts compared to 14 walks in 49 innings.

Noah Song made two appearances, one in High-A and one in Double-A. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit over 2 1/3 shutout innings. He struck out two batters compared to two walks.

Song hasn't allowed a run in 8 1/3 innings between four levels this season. He's only given up one hit and has 12 strikeouts compared to three walks.

Allan Castro is 11-for-33 with a double and two home runs since May 30. The switch-hitting outfielder is slashing .270/.353/.392 with three doubles and two home runs in 2025. He's driven in nine runs, scored 10 more, and stolen two bases.

Castro's heating up while Portland is struggling to find an offensive identity. The team has lost Garcia and Jordan to promotions, and Mikey Romero is injured.

Greenville Drive (High-A)

Miguel Bleis has four home runs in June. The right-handed hitting outfielder is showing his ability as a five-tool talent. Bleis is slashing .256/.339/.506 with seven doubles, one triple, and 10 home runs. He's driven in 38 runs, scored 35 more, and stolen 11 bases.

A 20/20 season is already in his sights. He's still just 21 and showcasing his elite speed, defense, and bat this season. It feels like we're getting the ultra-talented prospect we always knew Bleis could be.

Brooks Brannon has a 14-game hitting streak. The right-handed hitting catcher is slashing .273/.321/.424 with seven doubles, two triples, and five home runs. He's driven in 26 runs, scored 29 more, and stolen three bases.

Brannon is one of two catchers this week to showcase that the Red Sox might have some sneaky catcher depth in the minors. It might not be their strong prospect position, but they have fun developments.

Antonio Anderson is 8-for-19 (.421) in June. He's currently riding an eight-game hitting streak. The switch-hitting third/first baseman is slashing .319/.392/.445 with 11 doubles and four home runs between Single-A and High-A. He's driven in 28 runs, scored 37 more, and stolen one base.

Freili Encarnacion started his High-A career 0-for-12. He's 5-for-7 with two doubles and a home run since then.

The right-handed hitting infielder is slashing .299/.354/.562 with 16 doubles, one triple, and 11 home runs between Single-A and High-A. He's driven in 35 runs, scored 37 more, and stolen five bases.

Eduardo Rivera allowed one run on six hits in 5 2/3 innings in his start this week. He struck out eight batters and only walked one.

The left-handed pitcher has a 1.99 ERA, .138 BAA, and 0.92 WHIP in eight appearances (five starts). Rivera has 53 strikeouts compared to 14 walks in 31 2/3 innings.

Michael Sansone tossed two perfect innings in relief this week. Last week, he gave up just one run over six innings in his only start of the season.

The left-handed pitcher has surrendered two runs on six hits in three appearances (one walk) since being promoted to High-A. He's struck out nine batters compared to two walks in 11 innings.

Salem Red Sox (Single-A)

Yoeilin Cespedes had five extra-base hits (two doubles, two triples, one home run). The right-handed hitting infielder is slashing .241/.303/.425 with 12 doubles, four triples, and four home runs. He's driven in 26 runs, scored 22 more, and stolen three bases.

Again, it feels like Cespedes is someone who will benefit greatly from not having to hit in Salem's ballpark once he is promoted to High-A. The power seems to be freakishly legit.

Natanael Yuten entered May 22 with a .179/.271/.274 slash line. Just 10 games later, his slash line is .258/.327/.386.

Yuten has back-to-back three-hit games. He's collected at least one hit in eight of his last 10 games. Six of those games are multi-hit performances. The left-handed hitting outfielder has seven doubles, two triples, and two home runs. He's driven in 21 runs, scored 23 more, and stolen four bases.

Andruw Musett has a five-game multi-hit streak. We can go even deeper and point out that he has a hit in 14 of his last 15 games.

The right-handed hitting catcher is slashing .288/.368/.388 with seven doubles and three home runs. He's driven in 20 runs and scored 23 more. Musett has been one of the hottest hitters in the system in recent weeks and is another catcher giving Red Sox fans something to be excited about at the position in the minor leagues

Jay Allmer tossed 5 1/3 shutout innings over two appearances this week. He allowed two hits and three walks while striking out two batters.

The right-handed pitcher has a 3.00 ERA, .197 BAA, and 1.44 WHIP in eight appearances. Allmer has 12 strikeouts compared to 14 walks in 18 innings.
