We’re nearing the end of the 2026 Boston Red Sox prospect watch, as the season is winding down. However, that doesn’t mean we’re short on action.
Justin Gonzales had a massive week in his Double-A debut. Meanwhile, Salem’s offense put up huge numbers as they chase the franchise single-season home run record. Who else put together a strong week?

Worcester Red Sox (Triple-A)
Even in a down week, Franklin Arias produced. The right-handed-hitting middle infielder went 4-for-15 with a double and three RBI. He walked twice and struck out twice. Arias also made some fantastic plays in the field. The 20-year-old is slashing .312/.396/.562 with 22 doubles, one triple, and 23 home runs between Double-A and Triple-A. He’s driven in 74 runs, scored 62, and stolen five bases.
Portland Sea Dogs (Double-A)
Justin Gonzales made his Double-A debut this week and got to do it hitting ahead of a rehabbing Roman Anthony (subscription required). Gonzales went 5-for-16 with a triple and a home run. He drove in one run, scored five, and stole one base. The Big Dog got some extra eyes on him thanks to the Tribal Chief and didn’t disappoint.
Will Turner went 4-for-13 with two doubles, a triple, and a home run. He also had one of the greatest home run robberies you’ll ever see. The left-handed-hitting outfielder is slashing .190/.375/.399 with 10 doubles, two triples, and 14 home runs. He’s driven in 32 runs, scored 58, and stolen 17 bases.
Henry Godbout went just 4-for-18 this week. Three of those hits were his first three Double-A home runs. The right-handed-hitting shortstop is slashing .256/.389/.461 with seven doubles and 10 home runs between High-A and Double-A. He’s driven in 21 runs, scored 31, and stolen five.
Greenville Drive (High-A)
Maximus Martin flexed his muscles this week, going 7-for-18 with three doubles and two home runs. He drove in six runs and scored five. The right-handed-hitting utility player is slashing .184/.250/.391 with six doubles and four home runs in High-A. He’s driven in 18 runs, scored 14, and stolen one base.
Luke Heyman went 7-for-15 with a double and a home run. The right-handed-hitting catcher is slashing .236/.361/.439 with 14 doubles, one triple, and 17 home runs. He’s driven in 56 runs and scored 50.
Brady Tygart went bananas with the strikeouts in his outing this week. He allowed one run on two hits over 4 1/3 innings. The right-handed pitcher walked one batter and struck out seven. Tygart has a 3.97 ERA, .128 BAA, and 0.79 WHIP in three appearances since being promoted to High-A. He has 15 strikeouts and four walks in 11 1/3 innings.
Jacob Mayers allowed one hit over 3 1/3 shutout innings in his start. The right-handed pitcher struck out seven batters and walked three. Mayers has a 4.03 ERA, .178 BAA, and 1.55 WHIP in 19 games (12 starts) between Single-A and High-A. He has 80 strikeouts and 55 walks in 58 innings.
Dylan Brown got screwed by a rain delay for the second straight week. The left-handed pitcher gave up one hit over three scoreless innings. He struck out four batters without walking any. Brown has a 3.51 ERA, .237 BAA, and 1.26 WHIP in 20 games (19 starts) between Single-A and High-A. He has 130 strikeouts and 36 walks in 95 innings.
Barrett Morgan made his High-A debut and dominated. The right-handed pitcher didn’t allow a run or even a hit over 2 2/3 innings. He walked one batter and struck out six.
Salem RidgeYaks (Single-A)
Sadbiel Delzine was on his way to a generational gem before lightning struck (literally) and ruined the day. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit over three scoreless innings, needing just 40 pitches. He struck out five batters without walking any. Delzine has a 2.50 ERA, .209 BAA, and 1.11 WHIP in five starts in Single-A. He has 23 strikeouts and six walks in 18 innings.
Salem’s entire offense went off this week, so a few worthy performances are getting snubbed in the name of word count.
Adonys Guzman went 7-for-10 with a double and a home run. He drove in five runs, scored four, and walked more times (4) than he struck out (2). The right-handed-hitting catcher/first baseman is slashing .262/.375/.450 with 13 doubles and 10 home runs between Single-A and High-A. He’s driven in 38 runs and scored 39.
Andrews Opata went 7-for-17 with two doubles and a home run. He drove in seven runs, scored a ridiculous 10 runs, and stole four bases. Opata walked as many times (5) as he struck out (5). The right-handed-hitting outfielder is slashing .260/.374/.404 with 13 doubles, three triples, and 10 home runs. He’s driven in 53 runs, scored 76, and stolen 49 bases.
Franklin Primera went 8-for-20 with two doubles, a home run, and nine RBI this week. The right-handed-hitting catcher walked three times and only struck out once. He’s slashing .344/.485/.531 with 10 doubles, one triple, and four home runs since being promoted to Single-A. Primera has 21 RBI, 33 runs scored, and two steals with Salem.
Colton Coates went 7-for-19 with a double and a triple. The switch-hitting infielder drove in five runs and scored four. Coates is slashing .257/.325/.343 with a double and a triple in Single-A. He’s driven in six runs and scored six.
