The disastrous 2026 season continues for the Boston Red Sox. Injuries to the pitching staff are piling up. Meanwhile, Roman Anthony and Willson Contreras have joined the long list of team stars going down.

However, the minor league system is thriving. This week, we saw a major prospect’s Double-A debut, a lot of home runs, and an organizational debut that went about as good as anyone could have hoped for.

His previous career-high in home runs was seven. However, this year, he leads the entire organization with nine long balls. Rodriguez has driven in 18 runs, scored 20 more, and stolen one base.
