The Boston Red Sox made five trades in the days that led up to the 2024 trade deadline. For the most part, the trade for Danny Jansen has been their best move, as all three of the big-league pitchers they traded for are on the injured list.

Boston traded 10 prospects, including some top names, in its biggest deadline performance in recent years. Most of Craig Breslow's moves didn't pan out in the Sox's favor, but he can't predict injuries.

Some of the prospects the Red Sox traded have adjusted well to their new environment, and some not so much. Here's how each of them looks with their new squad.

Here's how all the former Red Sox players traded at the deadline have performed with their new clubs

Nick Yorke, traded to the Pirates for Quinn Priester

The trade for pitcher Quinn Priester ended up being Boston's biggest move of the trade deadline. The Sox traded Nick Yorke, a top prospect with little chance for a future with the big-league club for a controllable young starter.

Yorke tore up Triple-A pitching upon his promotion to Worcester in early June. He slashed .310/.408/.490 with a .898 OPS over 38 games with the WooSox, and he seems to have improved since the trade to Pittsburgh. He's batting .362/.419/.479 with a .898 OPS and 11 doubles in 26 games with the Indianapolis Indians.

Moises Bolivar, traded to Dodgers for James Paxton

The Red Sox shipped unranked infield prospect Moises Bolivar to Los Angeles for Paxton, whose season was unfortunately cut short. Bolivar is just 17 years old and has spent his season in the Dominican Summer League.

The Venezuelan native is slashing .256/.350/.391 with eight doubles, two triples, three homers and 27 RBI over 46 games in the DSL. His stats were better with the Sox's DSL affiliate — he's batting .205/.311/.256 with a .567 OPS since he was traded to LA.

Cutter Coffey, Eddinson Paulino and Gilberto Batista, traded to the Blue Jays for Danny Jansen

The Sox sent High-A infielder Cutter Coffey, Double-A infielder Eddinson Paulino and rookie-level pitcher Gilberto Batista to Toronto for the veteran catcher Jansen.

Coffey slashed .238/.321/.463 with 12 doubles and 14 homers with the Salem Red Sox. He's struggled since his move north of the border, though, and he's batting .154/.304/.250 over 18 games with High-A Vancouver.

Paulino was injured when the Sox traded him, and he's played just one rehab assignment game with his new team. He slashed .263/.349/.391 with a .740 OPS in 69 games with Double-A Portland, and has taken just one at-bat of his rehab assignment with the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League.

Batista is a 19-year-old righty who moved from the Florida Complex League to the Florida State League. He clocked a 3.92 ERA in 20.2 innings with the Red Sox organization this season and he's posted a 1.29 ERA in seven innings over two starts with Toronto's FSL affiliate.

Ovis Portes, traded to the Reds for Lucas Sims

Ovis Portes, a 19-year-old native of Antigua and Barbuda, was shipped to the Reds organization for the reliever Sims. He's currently on the seven-day injured list, but he's appeared in four games for the Single-A Tortugas.

Portes began his season in the FCL, where he didn't allow a run over 13 innings. He was then promoted to Single-A Salem, where he posted a 3.43 ERA in 21 innings. His transition to the Reds organization hasn't been the smoothest — besides the injury, he's logged a 14.40 ERA over five innings across four appearances.

Niko Kavadas, Ryan Zeferjahn, Matthew Lugo and Yeferson Vargas, traded to the Angels for Luis García

The Angels received a nice haul of prospects for the now-injured García. Matthew Lugo ranked at No. 18 on Boston's top prospect list at the time of the deal.

Niko Kavadas batted .281/.424/.551 with a .975 OPS in 83 games with the WooSox this season. His transition to Triple-A Salt Lake hasn't been the best, as he's batting .159/.229/.341 with 18 strikeouts in 11 games, but he was called up to the big leagues on Aug. 16. He's batting. .100/.182/.200 for the Angels and blasted his first big-league homer on Aug. 22.

Ryan Zeferjahn has also debuted for the Angels since the trade. The righty pitched to a 5.47 ERA with 21 strikeouts and 17 walks in 24.2 innings for the WooSox. He's posted a 2.35 ERA in 7.2 innings with Triple-A Salt Lake and a 6.75 ERA in 2.2 innings with the Angels.

Lugo only appeared in one game for the Salt Lake Bees before he was transferred to the 60-day injured list. He batted .250/.340/.452 in 35 games with the WooSox and collected a double and a homer in his first and only outing of the season with Salt Lake.

Vargas began his season at the rookie level and posted a 3.13 ERA in the FCL over 31.2 innings. He's logged a 2.91 ERA over 21.2 innings for Single-A Inland Empire.
