Red Sox announce 2025 schedule with hilarious Triston Casas video
MLB released the schedules for all 30 teams' 2025 campaigns on July 18. The Boston Red Sox, and a few other clubs, took a creative approach to their social media announcements.
Triston Casas recently made the news for a miscommunication in his rib injury recovery process. The first baseman shared he'd taken some swings to advance to one of the final steps of his rehab, but didn't clarify to reporters that they were all mental. Casas' latest visualizations are real.
Boston's schedule release video shows Casas visualizing key series in the club's 2025 slate in center field at Fenway Park. The Sox's campaign will open on March 27 in Arlington, Texas with a four-game series against the Rangers.
Boston will follow its opening series with its first American League East matchup of the year against the Orioles at Camden Yards. The Cardinals will come to Fenway for Opening Day on April 4 and the Sox will play the Blue Jays at home for their third-straight series against a team named after a bird.

The Mets will visit Boston from May 19-21, but the Sox won't make their first trip to New York until June 4, when they'll face the Yankees for the first time. The Red Sox will get a heavy dose of New York teams in a short span, as the Yankees will be at Fenway Park for a series the following week, beginning on June 13.
The Red Sox have a tough stretch in July and August, and it opens with three games against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. Mookie Betts will return to Boston with the Dodgers next, and the Sox will finish out July in Minnesota against the Twins. In August, Boston will face the Astros and Orioles twice along with the Royals and Yankees.
Casas also appears on the calendar version of the Red Sox's 2025 schedule. The team has marketed their star first baseman well during his injured list stint — he's made multiple cameos on NESN and ESPN broadcasts, co-hosted the Home Run Derby on TikTok and will allegedly be a frequent presence in Boston's upcoming Netflix docuseries.
