Pirates vs. Red Sox prediction and odds for Wednesday, April 5
The Red Sox will look to avoid a sweep against the Pirates on Wednesday.
Boston will send out Corey Kluber on Wednesday afternoon at Fenway Park to try and get the better of an emerging Pirates team after Pittsburgh won the first two games in this early week series.
Here are the odds for Wednesday's matinee:

Pirates vs. Red Sox prediction and pick
Kluber may not be an All-Star anymore, but he is still a solid rotation arm, posting a FIP below 4.00 over his last two seasons while showcasing pinpoint control. In Tampa Bay last season, he had an American League best walk per nine innings rate and now gets to face a Pirates lineup that is coming along nicely, but still is a year removed from being a miserable hitting team against righties last season, posting an 86 wRC+.
Kluber should bounce back after struggling to get out of the fourth inning in his first start for the Red Sox, but Pirates starter Mitch Keller should be in line for a strong start as well. He, like Kluber, struggled in his Opening Day start, but he is a year removed from his best season in the bigs, pitching to a sub-4.00 ERA behind his ability to generate soft contact with a low home run rate.
This total feels a run too high and over compensating for both starters' struggles early in the year. I'll play against the recency bias and take the under in what should be a chilly afternoon at Fenway Park and a low scoring affair.
