Red Sox Single-A (Salem)

Luis Perales seems to have figured things out, and that's terrible news for hitters. The right-handed pitcher allowed just one hit and one walk over a career-high six shutout innings, striking out seven batters. He tossed five one-hit innings his last time out. Perales has a 4.06 ERA, .227 BAA, and 1.41 WHIP in 37 2/3 innings. He's struck out 49 batters and walked 21.

Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz allowed one run on two hits in five innings this week. He walked two batters and struck out five. The righty has a 2.23 ERA, .217 BAA, and 1.22 WHIP in 44 1/3 innings. He's struck out 38 batters and walked 20.

Bradley Blalock has now made four starts for Salem. The right-handed pitcher has a 1.50 ERA, .167 BAA, and 0.78 WHIP in 18 innings. He's struck out 22 batters and only walked four. Blalock should be getting promoted to High-A very soon.

Nathanael Cruz tossed four shutout innings over two relief appearances this week. The righty reliever has a 2.35 ERA, .151 BAA, and 1.11 WHIP in 15 1/3 innings. He's struck out 14 batters and walked nine.

Cutter Coffey seems to have unlocked his offense. Since June 4, he's 14-for-49 (.286) with four doubles, one triple, and two home runs. The right-handed hitting shortstop is now slashing .214/.345/.319 with 11 doubles, one triple, and two home runs. He's driven in 20 runs, scored 27 more, and stolen 12 bases.

Lyonell James is slashing .393/.424/.607 in June. If you didn't know, that's good. The right-handed hitting infielder now has a .243/.325/.333 slash line with seven doubles and two home runs. He's driven in 28 runs, scored 23 more, and stolen two bases.

Allan Castro is on a five-game hitting streak. The switch-hitting outfielder is up to a .237/.361/.353 slash line with 16 doubles, one triple, and two home runs. He's driven in 22 runs, scored 33 more, and stolen 12 bases.

Luis Ravelo is up to a .274/.361/.365 slash line with nine doubles and three home runs. The switch-hitting shortstop has driven in 30 runs, scored 29 more, and stolen six bases.

Alexis Hernandez had a monster first week in Salem. The right-handed hitting outfielder slashed .556/.636/.778 in three games. He hit two doubles, drove in four runs, scored three more, and stole one base. Hernandez also made a spectacular play in right field.

Enderso Lira's hype train is gaining power after hitting his first homer on Sunday. The right-handed hitting catcher is slashing .272/.289/.346 with three doubles and one home run. He's driven in 14 runs, scored six more, and continues to look really solid behind the plate.

Claudio Simon is slashing .263/.364/.316 with one double in six games. The right-handed hitting infielder has three RBI, one run scored and has already swiped five bases.

Albert Feliz is slashing .186/.314/.265, but he had a solid week that included a couple of crushed balls, one being his first home run of the season. The right-handed hitting outfielder has six doubles, one home run, 16 RBI, and 14 runs scored.

Ahbram Liendo is slashing .189/.354/.260 with seven doubles, one triple, and one home run. The switch-hitting second baseman has driven in 14 runs, scored 33 more, and stolen 27 bases.

Juan Chacon had a long dry spell but had a breakout game this week. The right-handed hitting outfielder is slashing .253/.376/.351 with five doubles and six triples. Chacon has driven in 13 runs, scored 20 more, and stolen 19 bases.

Jhostynxon Garcia had back-to-back big games to break out of a funk at the end of the week. The right-handed hitting outfielder is slashing .226/.311/.245 with one double. He's driven in three runs, scored eight more, and stolen one base.
