After two of the worst games in their postseason history, the Red Sox have reached a do-or-die Game 6 in Houston. They could’ve built on their 2-1 series lead or even taken a 3-1 or 3-2 lead, but no! They had to make it as dramatic as possible.

That they are 6-0 in ALCS Game 6s in their lifetime is a terrifying glimmer of hope. Can they force Game 7?

Red Sox vs Astros Odds Today

The Astros are favored ever-so-slighty on the moneyline -106 to the Red Sox -104.

The spread has Boston -1.5 at +160 and Houston +1.5 at -210.

If you’re into betting on runs, this series has certainly been a doozy. The over/under tonight is 8.5, with the over -130 and the under an even +100.

Red Sox Pitcher Today: Nathan Eovaldi

Once again, the Red Sox need Nathan Eovaldi to be the postseason hero they need but do not deserve.

The bad news is he’s pitching on short rest after a disastrous relief appearance that turned Game 4 from a 2-1 win to a 9-2 loss. He owned four earned runs – a new career postseason high – and only pitched 2/3 of the ninth. He’s either demoralized or angrier than ever; hopefully, the latter.

Eovaldi is showing signs of wear after being the ace all year long. He’s given up seven earned runs over six total innings in two ALCS games, after never giving up more than two earned runs in a postseason game.
