Alex Rodriguez posted a wild video of himself doing yoga and made it all about David Ortiz, whose reaction was hilarious

The David Ortiz-Alex Rodriguez friendship that Red Sox and Yankees fans never needed is getting weirder by the day.

On Thursday, A-Rod posted a video of him doing some kind of yoga, tagging Ortiz, who was not in the video, and captioning it, “Much needed after working with David Ortiz. Love you Papi” with head-massage and baseball emojis.

The video is set to Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes’ “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” featured in the iconic finale dance scene Dirty Dancing. A-Rod, doing his best Baby, is absolutely hilarious.

The entire Ortiz family saw the video, and their reactions were a mix of shock and mock. Ortiz, his wife, Tiffany, and their son D’Angelo all commented. Papi accurately described A-Rod’s poses as birthing-like.

Rodriguez and Ortiz have been covering the postseason together as studio analysts on FOX Sports, so they’ve spent a lot of time together recently. And A-Rod is a good sport about the endless mocking that comes his way. During one FOX broadcast, they showed footage of him getting fed popcorn by ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz, comparing it to the Rays eating popcorn during the only game of the ALDS that they won.

Since retiring from baseball, A-Rod has become a successful businessman but is also known for his quirky online persona. I’d still rather watch him get Jason Varitek’s mitt stuffed in his face, but the yoga is entertaining, too.
