All the information you need to know about how to watch the Boston Red Sox take on the Texas Rangers in the third game of a four-game series.
Wednesday’s game between the Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers has been moved to accommodate another sporting event you may have heard about that will capture the city’s attention tonight.
The Boston Bruins are hosting the St. Louis Blues at the TD Garden tonight for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. To allow Boston fans the opportunity to watch both of their beloved teams, the Red Sox have rescheduled their game to an afternoon start time. Now let’s just hope to avoid extra innings. We want to wrap up a win before the puck drops!
Both a win and meeting the 8:00 p.m. deadline may be easier said than done. Boston has dropped the first two games of this series, the first of which lasted 11 innings, followed by last night’s “embarrassing” effort.
The pair of losses dropped Boston to .500 for the season. They sit three games behind the Rangers for the second Wild Card spot while slipping to eight games behind the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East.

Rick Porcello will take the mound this afternoon for the Red Sox. He took the loss in each of his last two starts against the pair of division-leading rivals, surrendering nine earned runs over 10 2/3 innings between those outings.
Day games are typically used as getaway days, allowing teams extra time to travel to their next destination. That’s not the case here, as these teams will meet again tomorrow night at 7:10 p.m. before the Red Sox head to Baltimore for a weekend series. At least they won’t be traveling far.
Several players are rumored to be heading to the Garden to watch the Bruins after they wrap things up at Fenway. This team knows a thing or two about winning a championship, even if they haven’t shown it on the field this year. Perhaps seeing the Bruins hoist the Cup on their home ice tonight will remind them of what they can achieve.
