All the information you need on how to watch or listen to the Boston Red Sox take on the Tampa Bay Rays in their 2018 home opener at Fenway Park.

The Boston Red Sox return to Fenway Park to host the Tampa Bay Rays in their home opener.

The regular season opened a week ago with the Red Sox visiting this same Rays team down in Tampa Bay. A bullpen meltdown spoiled a dazzling start from Chris Sale on Opening Day but the Red Sox rallied to take the next three against the Rays.

A short trip to Miami resulted in the Red Sox sweeping the Marlins in a two-game series to improve to 5-1 this season. That puts them at the top of the AL East as they return home.

The schedule-makers weren’t kind to the rebuilding Rays. Once the Red Sox left town, the Rays traveled north to the Bronx to visit the New York Yankees. The first game of their series was postponed due to inclement weather but the Rays would fall short in the next two. Now they head to Boston for a rematch of their season-opening series. We’re still in April and the Rays are already quite familiar with the two heavyweights in the division.

Boston’s rotation is on a historic roll to open the season. They are the only team in MLB history whose starting pitchers allowed no more than one run in each of the first six games of a season. Red Sox starters own a collective 1.03 ERA, the lowest mark in franchise history through six games since ERA became an official stat in 1913.

As outstanding as the rotation has been, Boston’s offense has been underwhelming. Can a return to the cozy confines of Fenway Park help turn the lineup around?
