Meet Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz at his book signing in Boston on Thursday, May 18 for an autographed copy of his new book.

Want to read up on all there is no know about former Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz? Well now you can, in his new book, “Papi: My Story.”

This autobiography, written with Michael Holley, details the career of the iconic slugger through the eyes of Ortiz himself. Much of the story will presumably focus on his time with the Red Sox, where he spent 14 seasons and won three World Series championships.

The book reveals Ortiz’ candid takes on a number of hot button topics, including the disastrous Bobby Valentine season and his departure from a Minnesota Twins organization that regrettably gave up on him.

Not only can fans read all about Big Papi, they’ll have the chance to meet him. Ortiz will at the Barnes & Noble at the Prudential Center in Boston on Thursday, May 18 starting at Noon for a book signing event. If you’re anywhere near Boylston Street this afternoon, come on down to get your autographed copy of the book and meet one of the greatest sports icons in Boston’s rich history.
