Opening Day has finally arrived! The Boston Red Sox kick off the 2017 season by hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates at Fenway Park.

Boston is aiming for their third consecutive victory on Opening Day, which would also be their third straight win when opening the season at home, dating back to 2009.

For the first time in 15 years, the Red Sox open the season without the presence of David Ortiz in the lineup. The torch has been passed to a new generation of stars, led by MVP candidate Mookie Betts. Nobody can quite replace what Big Papi meant to this franchise, but this offense remains packed with star power and should be among the game’s elite.
