Red Sox Arizona Fall League Update: October 27-November 2

BoSoxInjection.com keeps up with all the Winter Leagues, especially the first important one, the Arizona Fall League (AFL). Check out the Red Sox players there this year then come back to this page to see how they are doing in after the first two weeks of the season.
The Hitters
Sam Travis is leading the league lead in runs scored with 11. Travis was six for 16 with three walks and three runs scored on the week. He has slashed a .314/.368/.431 batting line thus far.

Carlos Asuaje was four for 13 for the week, with a run scored and an RBI. His batting line in Arizona is .297/.357/.324.
Shortstop Tzu-Wei Lin started to hit this week, going three for 10, with a double, walk, and two RBI. Lin’s current batting line is .208/.296/.250 through three weeks of play.
The Pitchers
Aaron Wilkerson did not pitch in a game this week. Wilkerson has struggled in his first two AFL starts. Wilkerson has allowed ten hits and six earned runs through seven innings, walking five and striking out four. He has not been involved in a decision yet. Wilkerson’s ERA stands at 7.71.

Right-hander Kyle Martin pitched a perfect inning in his lone appearance of the week, notching his first save of the AFL year. Martin has allowed one earned run and three hits over five innings, walking one batter and striking out seven.
Left hander Danny Rosenbaum continued his strong showing in the AFL this year, hurling one scoreless two inning appearance for the week, allowing two walks and one hit, striking out one. Overall, the ex-National has thrown five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out five batters.
Right handed pitcher Chandler Shepherd has struggled in the first three weeks of the AFL season. He had two appearances on the week, allowing a three run homer after two walks in his first appearance. Shepherd rebounded to throw a scoreless 1.1 innings in his second appearance. Among the four hits he has surrendered, two have been homers. He has walked two and struck out five while allowing five earned runs in 4.2 innings of AFL work.
