Double-A Portland Sea Dogs

Final Score: Trenton Thunder 4, Sea Dogs 2

Notable Pitchers:

Williams Jerez (IP, 2 H, 2 R, 3 BB)

Notable Position Players:

Carlos Asuaje (1-5, 2 K)

Tzu-Wei Lin (0-4, K)

Manuel Margot (0-5, K)

Sam Travis (2-4, 2B, BB, 2 K)

  • Travis was advertised as an advanced bat coming out of Indiana University last year but nobody expected him to be quite this advanced. Travis was playing in Lowell a year ago and is now slashing an impressive .306/.372/.405 in his first 32 games in Portland. Given how aggressively the Red Sox have promoted him thus far, it’s easy to imagine him starting next season in Pawtucket and potentially seeing Boston by the end of the year.
