Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox
Final Score: Norfolk Tides 2, PawSox 0
Notable Pitchers:
Jonathan Aro (IP, 0 H, 0 R, BB, K)
Dayan Diaz (0.1 IP, H, R, 3 BB)
Pat Light (1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 K)
Henry Owens (6 IP, 5 H, R, BB, 3 K)
- Owens has been on an excellent run of late and last night’s start just continues that stretch. In fact, Red Sox manager John Farrell went as far to suggest that Owens and Brian Johnson could be in Boston soon. Given that Owens appears to have conquered his control issues (he hasn’t walked more than 2 batters since June 9th) and has developed some command of his curveball, he’s looking more major league ready than ever.
Notable Position Players:
Garin Cecchini (1-3, BB)
Allen Craig (0-3, K)
Marco Hernandez (1-4, K)
Deven Marrero (1-3, BB, K)
Travis Shaw (0-4)
