Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox

Final Score: Norfolk Tides 7, PawSox 3

Notable Pitchers:

Pat Light (IP, 0 H, o R)

Notable Position Players:

Jackie Bradley Jr. (2-4, 2 HR)

  • Bradley’s monster season in Pawtucket continues as he hits his second multi-home run game in four days. He’s now hitting .315/.389/.490 with the PawSox and, with the Red Sox now all-but eliminated from the postseason, it’s past time for a promotion.

Double-A Portland Sea Dogs

Final Score: Sea Dogs 5, Trenton Thunder 4

Notable Pitchers:

Simon Mercedes (2.2 IP, H, R, 2 BB, 2 K)

Notable Position Players:

Carlos Asuaje (1-3, 2B, 2 BB)

Tzu-Wei Lin (0-4, K)

Manuel Margot (2-5, SB, K)

  • Margot hasn’t exactly excelled since his promotion to Portland, but he’s still held his own in his first taste of the upper minors, slashing .277/.340/.372 with 8 stolen bases thus far. Still just 20 years old, Margot has flown up prospect lists this season and now ranks in the top 20 of some mid-season rankings. It’s hard to see where he fits into Boston’s future plans, but as such a talented player, the Red Sox will have to make room.

Henry Ramos (1-4, 2 K)

High-A Salem Red Sox

Final Score: Myrtle Beach Pelicans 4, Red Sox 1

Notable Pitchers:

Chandler Shepherd (IP, 0 H, 0 R, K)

Teddy Stankiewicz (IP, H, R, 0 ER)

  • Stankiewicz was struck by a comebacker and had to exit the game after just an inning of work. Thus, it’s tough to gauge anything from this outing. Stankiewicz’s first season in Salem has had its share of ups and downs, but there’s nothing wrong with his 3.78 ERA on the season and he’ll be in Portland next year.

Notable Position Players:

Mauricio Dubon (1-4, HR)

Low-A Greenville Drive

Final Score: Asheville Tourists 3, Drive 2

Notable Pitchers:

Jamie Callahan (3 IP, 2 H, R, 0 ER, 2 K)

Notable Position Players:

Michael Chavis (1-4, 2B, K)

Rafael Devers (1-4, 2B, K)

Javier Guerra (2-4)

  • Guerra’s scorching month of July continues as another multi-hit game has him hitting .435/.474/.652 on the month and .309/.362/.511 on the season. This has been a huge breakout year for the 19-year old shortstop and Guerra represents another Red Sox prospect that has been soaring up prospect lists.

Nick Longhi (0-4)

Yoan Moncada (1-3, K)

Short Season A Lowell Spinners

Final Score: Staten Island Yankees 5, Spinners 4

Notable Pitchers:

Matt Kent (3 IP, H, 0 R, 3 BB, 2 K)

Notable Position Players:

Luis Alexander Basabe (1-5, HR)

Andrew Benintendi (1-3, HR, K)

  • You’re probably getting tired of the constant Benintendi updates but he’s far and away the top prospect in Lowell and this marks his third homer in four games. Despite a slump of a few games, he’s still hitting a stellar .256/.434/.538 and living up to his pedigree at the College Player of the Year.

Mitchell Gunsolus (0-4, K)

Tate Matheny (1-5, K)

Josh Ockimey (1-3, 2B, BB)

Austin Rei (0-3, BB, 3 K)
