High-A Salem Red Sox

Final Score: Lynchburg Hillcats 4, Red Sox 1

Notable Pitchers:

Daniel McGrath (4 IP, 9 H, 4 R, 2 ER, BB, 4 K)

  • After missing some time with injuries, McGrath returns to Salem, where he has had a great season in 2015. Even with a mediocre start last night, the Australian-born left-hander has a 1.89 ERA as he has run through High-A bats despite displaying poor control at times. He isn’t a highly-touted prospect, but he does have some projection and with things looking lean in Salem, he’s one of the more promising youngsters there.

Notable Position Players:

Mauricio Dubon (1-4)

Wendell Rijo (1-4, K, CS)
