• Though he hasn’t shown it in his inconsistent big league playing time this season, Bradley has been having a hell of a season down in Pawtucket and led off for the International League All-Stars last night. He has slashed .308/.386/.449 in Triple-A this season and, though he didn’t have much of a game last night, he does deserve one more chance at regular playing time in the major leagues.

• Stankiewicz has been on a roller-coaster ride of late, with this masterful outing coming directly after an awful game which saw him throw five-innings of six-run ball, which came directly after seven shutout innings. In order for “Stanky” to succeed in the higher levels of the minors, he’ll need to harness his command more consistently, but he’s still 21 years old so there’s certainly time.

• Dubon has scuffled in his first taste of High-A, slashing .203/.273/.220 after making a name for himself with a strong performance in Greenville. The 20-year old infielder still has promise as a utility player type, though, and the next step towards that ceiling is for him to conquer Salem.

• Moncada, who has been tearing the cover off the ball lately, homers in his third consecutive game. However, last night’s home run was unique in that it was an inside-the-park home run, as Moncada showed off his elite speed in rounding the bases for his fourth long ball of the year.

• Noviello, a high-school catcher whom the Red Sox drafted in the 25th round this season, makes his first professional start. A legitimate draft prospect, Noviello slipped that late in the draft because of a strong commitment to Maine, but as a local Massachusetts kid, couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sign with his hometown team. He’s a long way from becoming a major prospect, but even if he doesn’t, it’s only a 25th round pick and it makes sense to chase the upside.
