Double-A Portland Sea Dogs

Final Score: Sea Dogs 9, Fightin’ Phils 1

Notable Position Players:

Carlos Asuaje (3-5, 2 K, SB)

Marco Hernandez (3-4)

  • Hernandez was the player to be named later from the Cubs in the Felix Doubront trade and, though that trade didn’t appear to be a significant move, Hernandez has raked since joining the organization. In 65 games with the Sea Dogs this season, he’s slashing .330/.354/.489 and leads the Eastern League in batting average. He’s still not a very highly-touted prospect but, at just 22 years old, he could certainly make something of himself.

Manuel Margot (1-3, 2 BB, K)

Sam Travis (1-3, 2 BB)
