GCL Red Sox
Anderson Espinoza (4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, BB, 5 K)
- Espinoza’s second start in the GCL remarkably goes even better than his first as the 17-year old phenom’s stateside debut is going about as well as could be expected. With five punchouts in four scoreless innings, he is delivering on the hype that he garnered as the top pitcher on the international market last summer.
Nicholos Hamilton (1-3, BB, 2 K)
- Hamilton, a speedy outfielder whom the Red Sox drafted in the 11th round this season, makes his first in-game appearance in the Red Sox organization. He’s very raw in almost all facets of his game but his speed is a huge asset, with most scouts grading it as an 80 on the 20-80 scale, and could make him a useful player if he develops.
Henry Ramos (2-3, R, BB)
