Red Sox, Daniel Nava agree to one-year deal
Exciting news: Daniel Nava will be back in action in a Red Sox uniform this season.
The team announced Thursday they avoided arbitration and agreed to a one-year, $1.85 million deal with their 31 year-old outfielder.
In 2014, Nava played in 113 games for Boston, batting .270 with 98 hits and four home runs.
The question for this season now is whether or not the ambidextrous batter will give up switch-hitting and exclusively bat from the left side of the plate where he tends to find more success. His career average from the left side is .293, while his average is .203 from the right.
Stay tuned to find out what he decides.
