Poll Results: Red Sox Nation Has Hopes of Postseason Baseball

The Red Sox have been playing much better baseball over the past three plus weeks and the latest poll results at BSI show that Red Sox Nation has renewed hopes that this ball club could still play in October, when it matters most.

We asked you the reader if you thought the Red Sox resembled a postseason club and at first it seemed all hopes were lost as this season would be a bridge year to one in which the club could shed some over baring salary.  But when the Sox finally turned things around, so too did the poll results.

A total of 351 votes were cast and while most believed that the Red Sox did not resemble a postseason club, at least not this year with 118 votes cast, it should be noted that over the past two weeks this voting option seemed to lose steam a little.  The next option that had the second most votes was ‘No, but they could be’ with 112 votes, an option that picked up more votes with the recent turn around of our beloved ball club.

Finally, 111 votes were cast for those that feel the Red Sox do resemble a postseason club, we just need to give it some time.  While this option narrowly missed out as the number one choice, had we left it open for another week it likely would have taken over top spot. In short, a Nation still believes this club can qualify for the postseason and it’s all thanks to a resurgence in their play which in turn has resulted in the Sox winning some important divisional series.

With four months to go in the season there is still a lot of ball left but with the Sox firing on all cylinders (Bard not included) Red Sox Nation believes in what could be this year.  So buckle up, it could be wild summer.

As always, thanks to everyone who voted and be sure to check out our latest poll asking if you think the Red Sox will trade Kevin Youkilis.
