In our latest poll, we asked you the readers if the Red Sox should try and sign Cuban prospect, Jorge Soler.
The results are in. Â A total of 108 votes were cast and 77% of you are in favor of the Sox trying to sign Jorge Soler.
The 19-year old prospect is said to be a potential super star, resembling similar skills with a potential for more power than fellow countryman Yoennis Cespedes who recently signed on with the Oakland A’s.
Soler has yet to establish residency in the Dominican Republic, the first step before he’s declared eligible for free-agency in the majors.  There are as many as nine confirmed teams that are said to be interested in Soler with the Red Sox and Yankees among them.
A bidding war is likely for Soler who could be major league ready in a couple of years. Â Roughly the same time the Red Sox could be without Jacoby Ellsbury, should he decided to go the free-agent route.
Thanks to everyone for voting and be sure to check out our latest poll where we asked if you feel the Red Sox received enough compensation for Theo Epstein from the Cubs.
