Jenny Dell to Join Red Sox NESN Team

Thousands of male hearts were broken when we learnt that Heidi Watney would not be returning for a fifth season with NESN. As the Red Sox on-field reporter Watney charmed us all with her perfect smile and witty sense of humor.  But fear not my fellow patrons of Red Sox Nation.  Jenny Dell is here and she’s ready to help us all move on and forget about Heidi.

Dell comes to us from ESPN and while nothing has been made official, all of her video and reporting has been pulled from the ESPN website.  She’s covered the X-games and a lot of football, so baseball may be new to her career duties.  But being a University of Massachusetts  graduate there is no question she knows about the Red Sox rich history and die-hard fan base.

This is just another change to the Red Sox that we’ll adjust to this season, although this one will likely be the easiest to adapt. I’m sure we’ll learn to love her just like we have with the ones that came before her.  She’ll be there for us on a nightly basis to give us a break in the action.  I wonder if she’ll venture out to the ballpark vendors to try new foods?
