OMG, That Was Just Amazing!

OMG, that was just Amazing!  If you’re watching the game right now between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees, you know which play I’m talking about.  If you’re not watching the game, I have to say you just missed one of the greatest plays that can happen in baseball.  The stealing of home-plate by a runner, it’s a feat you won’t see everyday.

If you’re lucky enough you’ll see a few happen each season, just like the one Jacoby Ellsbury, just pulled off a few minutes ago.  With the bases loaded and J.D. Drew at the plate nobody was expecting Ellsbury to steal home, but he did.  It caught everyone off guard, even the poor cameramen for ESPN, as they never had a chance to pick it up.  One minute your watching the Yankees starter Andy Pettitte, in his delivery and THEN WHAM here comes Ellsbury right into the picture.  He slides in safely just ahead of the tag from Jorge Posada, as he gives the Sox the 3-1 lead, as the Fenway faithful erupt and rise to their feet.

At the moment the Sox currently have a 4-1 lead with the game in the 7th inning.  Let’s hope the Sox can hold onto this lead and “SWEEP” the lonely “Spank-mes” right out of Boston and move the winning streak to 10 games.  I’ll have more of the game later on, for now just relax and enjoy the rest of it and let’s go Sox!
