As soon as the World Series is over casual sports fans turn their attention to the next shiny object in the sports shop, in this case football and soon-to-be basketball as the NBA season heats up.

Here at BSI we know, just like you, that major league baseball is entering one of the more fascinating phases of its season; a time of year when everything is possible. Deals, double deals and steals are made. Careers and lives take a new direction. A few teams, if they play their cards right, will head into 2013 riding the crest of a winter’s wave of negotiations well spent.

"In just four more days Major League and Minor League free agents can sign contracts with teams other than their former clubs. Players have until midnight EST November 9 to accept arbitration from their former clubs."

In rapid fashion over the next month, Major League Baseball fans will gorge themselves on a rich banquet of awards and events leading up to the to the Winter Meetings, December 3-6 in Nashville, TN.
