Holy Yamaico! Minor Leaguer does it again!

The happiness you feel when someone you’ve watched over the years does something fantastic is almost unbearable. I’ve been a fan of this baseball player ever since I saw him belt out 2 home runs over the Maine Monster while playing some amazing defense at Third Base. Once you’ve decided you want a ball player to succeed, isn’t it a plus when that player can dish out the same talent when playing with the Major League guys?

Yamaico Navarro was that successful ball player today. Darnell McDonald’s leadoff double in the ninth set it up. While, Oscar Tejada grounded out, catching McDonald in a rundown between second and third. Of course this was all part of the suspense! Daniel Nava came up to bat, with the same plan to get the job done. His bat then decided he was going to add to that suspense. With two outs and a Red Sox crowd feeling the suspense of a lifetime, Yamaico Navarro shot a line drive through the air into left field. The Red Sox had beaten the Orioles!

This twenty-three year old infielder has had nothing but success in Spring Training this year. It’s always great to have the underdog come through in the last minute to pull off what the other major leaguers couldn’t!
