Jose Iglesias has impressed everyone this off-season with his glove, but there have been many questions about his ability to hit at a high level. In his first game with the Red Sox, Iglesias had two strong at-bats, hitting the ball hard twice. In the 4th inning, with the bases juiced, Iglesias ripped a double down the left field line to clear the bases. In his second at-bat in the 6th inning, Iglesias again stung the ball again, but this time right at the BC 2nd baseman. Not a bad start for the impressive young Cuban. The Sox beat BC 6-1, finishing an impressive 1st day of live contests with 2 wins and a combined 21 runs.
