With the trade deadline ready to expire in less than 90 minutes, the Boston Red Sox might be finalizing another trade. According to multiple reports the Sox might be adding another big name to the roster. No, it’s not RHP Roy Halladay from the Toronto Blue Jays. It’s the other big name who’s on the market, C Victor Martinez currently of the Cleveland Indians. This move if the Sox could pull it off will be HUGE for the team.
As the Sox would now have multiple options when it comes to catcher, first base, third base and also at the DH position. [...]

MLB has a steroid problem! Please, say it ain’t so. Steroids in baseball! You’ve got to be kidding me. This isn’t new news! We’ve known about this problem for many years, but according to a recent story broken by the New York Times, it might be affecting the Boston Red Sox. OK, not the Sox directly but it could possibly affect current Sox player David Ortiz, as well as ex-Sox Manny Ramirez.
As it just been reported by the Times that both Ortiz & Ramirez’s were on the 2003 doping list? Could it be true? I have no idea, maybe they were [...]
First off I’d like to offer my apologies for the lack of articles over the last week. But I’ve been down and out with some type of bug, that’s been going around in my area. So I did what anyone would do, which is go get checked out and they gave me a couple of medications to take to help get take care of whatever it is. Then it appears I had an allergic reaction to one of the medications, which swelled my face up and made me look like I’ve gone 10 rounds in a kick boxing match.
With the swelling finally going [...]
Congratulations to both David Ortiz and Jon Lester! As they’re both winners in the BoSox Injection’s Boston Red Sox Players Of The Month for June 2009. After his performance for the Red Sox in the month of June it was a no brain-er for voters, when it came to Ortiz being named the offensive player for the Sox. For the pitcher of the month it was Lester who jumped to an early lead, over his fellow teammates. And in the end he held on slightly to capture the fans vote, over Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon.
Previous Winners:
April – (P) Tim Wakefield [...]
How do you fix a stagnant offense? While also trying to boost your team’s defense at the same time? Well if you’re the Boston Red Sox, you make a move and grab a veteran player who can fill several different roles on the team. Which they just did, when the Boston Red Sox trade for Adam LaRoche, in exchange for two minor league players. The deal which sent first baseman LaRoche to the Red Sox, also sends SS Argenis Diaz and right handed pitcher Hunter Strickland to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
LaRoche, who’s eligible for free agency after this season, will most likely be used off the bench. [...]
Here’s a few facts that just might be a tad concerning to the fans of Red Sox Nation, at the moment. I know it’s only the end of July, and there’s still time to right the ship and correct a few things. Especially with the July 31st trade deadline for MLB approaching quickly. Which might help the club, if they’re able to pull of a major deal. But still with just a little over 10 weeks left in the 2009 baseball season, fans of the Boston Red Sox have plenty to worry about!
Boston held a 3 game lead in the [...]

The S.O.S has being sent out! Who can stop the bleeding for the Boston Red Sox? That’s the main question that’s on the minds of Red Sox Nation, at the moment. The Sox have been down right horrible their last three games. Losing the final two with the Toronto Blue Jays, and then losing last night opener with the Texas Rangers. Making things even worse for the Sox is that while they were busy losing their last three. The team that was directly below them, won four straight, so now the Sox find themselves tied with the New York Yankees [...]
After losing to 2 of 3 from the Toronto Blue Jays this past weekend, the Boston Red Sox are now headed to Texas. Where the Sox will be visiting the Texas Rangers for the final three games of this road-trip. For the Sox who now only hold a one game advantage in the AL East, over the New York Yankees. Let’s jump right into this Red Sox vs Rangers series quickie, where the Sox need to salvage this trip and win at least 2 of these games, to help them break even on the road-trip at 3-3.
Game 1 – 7-20-09

“Doc” And Barajas, Beat The Sox!
What a pitchers duel the fans at the Rodgers Centre in Toronto Canada, saw this afternoon. It was built up as a marque game and the fans surely got their money’s worth, from this game. As Jon Lester and Roy “Doc” Halladay both were on the mound, in the series finale. Luckily for the home town crowd it was the Toronto Blue Jays beating the Boston Red Sox 3-1, behind a brilliantly pitched complete game from “Doc” Halladay.
The only offense Halladay and the Jays would need in the game, was provided by Rod Barajas. As Barajas drove in all three of [...]
