The Red Sox now hold the new American League record for the most runs scored in an inning BEFORE recording an out! As they hammered three different Cleveland pitchers for 12 runs before the Sox made their first out. The record which was held for the last 84 years by the Detriot Tigers, was 11 runs which the Tigers accomplished back in 1925.
Let’s all hope the Sox have something left in their tanks as the Tampa Bay Rays, who have been a MAJOR thorn in our sides this season arrive for a three game series. The two clubs open their weekend series beginning on Friday and wrap things up with a showdown on Mother’s Day as they play on ESPN, Sunday night! We all remember that Boston seems to play with a little something extra on that particular day, as they always somehow find a way to pull it out in the end. LET’S GO SOX!
